Frequently asked questions
We are happy to provide any additional information.
What metals and concentrations can MWAS analyse?
MWAS can analyse dissolved Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pb and U with our Metal Collector and As, Se and Mo with the Arsenic Collector. The detection limits start from 5 ppb (μg/l), but they can vary depending on the analyzed element, water properties and the XRF analyser. 3AWater team is working on adding new metals to the list of analytes. Please contact us if you have a specific request.
Can I test MWAS to make sure it works for my application?
Testing customer waters is often included in our sales process. Contact us and let’s discuss sending water samples. We will provide you a report on which metals and detection limits we can analyse from your waters. Read more on our blog.
Is special training required to use MWAS?
Only a minimal training is required. Anyone can learn to use the technology in just 30 minutes and perform reliable water measurements. The intuitive procedure makes it easy to operate. Read more....
How accurate is MWAS?
MWAS delivers highly accurate, almost lab-quality results with detection limits down to ppb levels, ensuring confidence in water management decisions. Check our technical notes for more details.
Can MWAS be used for both environmental and industrial waters?
Yes. We offer default calibrations that work a variety of natural waters as a generic calibration. In many industrial setups a specific tailored calibration are needed to ensure best performance.
I own an XRF analyser. Can I use it for MWAS water analysis?
Yes. We offer default calibrations that work a variety of natural waters as a generic calibration. In many industrial setups a specific tailored calibration are needed to ensure best performance.
Does 3Awater provide customer support?
Yes, we offer comprehensive customer onboarding and support, including online or onsite training, calibration tailoring for optimal accuracy, troubleshooting, and maintenance guidance, to ensure seamless operation of MWAS.
Does MWAS integrate with digital data systems?
Yes, MWAS supports integrated cloud data management. The results of metal measurements and GPS coordinates can be uploaded to a cloud service for easy access and centralized reporting.
Does MWAS integrate with digital data systems?
Yes, MWAS is portable, and battery operated and can analyse metal contents of waters anywhere in less than 15 minutes. However, we offer also alternative stationary setup for customers working in the lab-like environments.
